I am a SweatPink Ambassador!

Today my first post on the SweatPink blog goes live, and so I’m using this opportunity to announce that I am officially a SweatPink Ambassador!

What is SweatPink?

Fit Approach co-founders and cousins Jamie and Alyse have been working together since we’ve been old enough to tie our shoes. By the time we launched our first startup (a neighborhood potpourri business) at the tender age of 10, we were already shrewd under-the-table traders (aspiring vegetarian Jamie would exchange her meat for committed carnivore Alyse’s broccoli).

We aren’t just partners in childhood lemonade stands and food swapping, though. We’ve been swimming, dancing, and sweating together for what feels like forever, and we’d always dreamed of building something all our own.

One late, wine-soaked evening, we finally figured out how to bring our entrepreneurial and sweaty interests into a happy union. That night, we both knew we couldn’t wait to start living our dreams. We had to get moving.

The result is Fit Approach: a healthy community we’re building, one pair of pink shoelaces at a time.

We hope you’ll join us!

I’m pleased and proud to be a part of this fitness movement and I am consistently inspired by the stories from the Sweat Pink Ambassadors who contribute their blood, (pink) sweat and tears to the cause!

And to celebrate, I’m offering FREE SweatPink shoelaces to the first 5 people to comment on this post! Just tell me what inspires you to keep moving forward on your fitness journey?

  1. Congrats on becoming an SP Ambassador!

What keeps me running and moving forward in my fitness journey is the changes it has made in my life – I am for the most part happier when I’ve been working out and my outlook on most things has changed, I am proud of what my body has achieved and what it can do now. I’m also inspired by the range of people I meet involved in fitness either in person or online – whether they run a 5k in 50 minutes or a marathon in 2.5 hours they all inspire me to be better.

    • So true – looking around at races fills me with pride in myself, but also pride in the men and women around me who are obviously making a conscious decision to make their lives better by being healthier and stronger.
And what a great mood enhancer endorphins are!
Shoot me your address at irunonwater (at) iCloud dot com and I will send your shoelaces!
